Software for good
A commons of business software, open to everyone. Join with a free account, download production-ready applications at no charge, and use them for yourself or your clients — 100% of what you earn with them is yours. No license fees. No usage fees. No commission. Ever.
BonaBuild writes the software. Members decide what gets written next. Every decision and every donation is recorded publicly.
Why this exists
The same twelve applications, rebuilt 10,000× a year.
A five-person software shop loses the mid-sized client because the per-seat license costs more than the project. A freelancer rebuilds the same inventory tool a thousand others already wrote. Building in-house takes months most people do not have — so the work goes to whoever already owns the license, and the market consolidates a little further, every year.
Service management, inventory, accounting, scheduling, compliance logging: written from scratch, again, in thousands of offices around the world. The same problems. The same solutions. None of it shared. BonaBuild writes them once and gives them to everyone.
The model
Three mechanisms working together — each one verifiable on-chain, not promised.
Anyone with a free account downloads production-ready business applications and uses them — personally or commercially. Whatever you earn with them is 100% yours; the commons takes nothing, ever.
How it worksAnyone opens a request. Members back the ones they need by locking BONA, and a quadratic ranking decides — a hundred backers outweigh one whale, by construction, and you can try the math yourself on the next page.
Requests & backingDevelopment is paid for by selling BONA at a fixed, published price in escrow-protected rounds. The software a round funds ships free to every member on release day — buyers and non-buyers alike.
The BONA tokenAn email address is all it takes. You do not need to be a company — developers, freelancers, small businesses and curious people are all equally welcome. No fee, no token, no approval queue.
