The token
Membership is free and the applications are free. BonaBuild writes the software and gives it away regardless — BONA adds capacity and governs the roadmap, it does not gate the software. It is not an investment product, and its price may fall to zero.
Four jobs
Tokens are sold at one fixed published price, continuously, and the proceeds pay for the software. This is where the project’s money comes from — there is no other source.
Members lock BONA against the requests they need, and the quadratic ranking decides what gets built next. Locked, not spent — it returns whenever the backer chooses.
Members vote on budgets, signers and the rules themselves. Voting happens off-chain on Snapshot, so casting a vote costs nothing. Locked tokens still carry full voting weight.
Testers, reviewers, translators, writers and developers earn BONA for work that is verifiably done — a portable, public record of what someone contributed.
BONA is sold to fund software development. We make no promise of profit, return or appreciation in value, and we give no price target and no forecast. A listing on an exchange is a stated goal, not a commitment, and we give no date for it. The price may fall. You may lose the entire amount you pay. Token sales are regulated differently in different countries and may be restricted where you live. Nothing here is investment, legal, or tax advice — obtain your own.

Buy
No account, no sign-up, no approval queue — connect a wallet and buy. Membership is a separate thing entirely, and it is free; you need neither to have the other.
Your USDC and your BONA move in the same transaction: the USDC goes to the treasury and the BONA lands in your wallet, in one step. If anything stops the BONA being delivered, nothing is charged.
Earlier purchases, still vesting
These are purchases made through the first sale contract. They release linearly over six months on their original schedule, and they vote from the day they were bought, claimed or not. Every purchase since goes straight to your wallet.
These contracts have not been audited. BONA is sold to fund software development. It is not a share, carries no claim on revenue, and comes with no promise of return. There is no buy-back and no price floor. A listing is a goal, never a commitment, and no date is given for one. You may lose the entire amount you pay. The software is free to every member whether or not you ever hold a unit. Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice.
Membership
The software library is free and needs no BONA. This is the other way in, and it is deliberately not attached to the sale — neither one gates the other.
Leave an address and we will send the download links when the library opens. That is the whole of what an account is for.
One address, kept to send those links. Not sold, not shared, not used for anything else. Reply to any message to be removed.
Funding
The sale is open continuously at one published price — no rounds, no tiers, no early-bird discount, no countdown. Your USDC and the BONA that matches it move in the same transaction: if either leg fails, neither happens.
| Route | Where your money goes | Do we receive it? |
|---|---|---|
| The sale contract — on this site | Straight to the 2-of-4 Safe multisig | Yes — all of it |
| Exchange or liquidity pool | The pool — that is, to whoever is selling | No — nothing |
Buying on an exchange is a trade between two holders — the treasury is not a party to it and receives nothing. Only the sale contract funds the project. Purchased BONA goes to your wallet in the transaction you pay in, and votes from that moment.
A change, published rather than hidden. The first 1,800 BONA sold — 18 USDC across four purchases — went through the first sale contract, now retired, which wrote each purchase into a vesting contract releasing it over six months. Those grants are untouched: they stay claimable by their owners on their original schedule, fully vested by 13 March 2027 at the latest. Every purchase since is delivered to the buyer’s wallet in the transaction that pays for it.
An automated market maker sells tokens at an average price well below the market price it ends at. Selling 3,333,333 BONA through a pool that ends at 0.018 USDC returns about 20,000 USDC — an average of 0.006. Selling the same tokens directly at a fixed 0.01 returns 33,333 USDC, and moves no market price at all.
At scale it fails outright: pushing 30,000,000 BONA into a pool holding 30,000 USDC returns roughly 28,000 USDC and collapses the price by over 99%. You cannot take more out of a pool than buyers put in. So the pool stays small — 5%, locked — and exists so a holder can exit without finding a private buyer. Nothing more.
Distribution
Every block below is 500,000 BONA — the whole fixed supply, in one picture. Most of it is for sale: 60% can only ever leave this project by being bought at the published price, and a fifth of every dollar that comes back goes straight into the pool holders sell through.
Hover any block. The contract has no minting function — not a restricted one, an absent one — so this picture can never grow.
The team’s share is the smallest allocation here and the slowest to release: no cliff, 36 months linear, funded in annual tranches. There is no unallocated treasury — every block above has a job.
